The OVA entitled Sword Art Online Extra Edition is finally having its english dub released! I have watched the subbed version several times and am now excited to watch it dubbed too! I am a big fan of both casts.

SAO Extra Edition is available on DVD/Blu Ray on 12/34/14. So if you’re looking to get me a good Christmas present, then this is it! (hint hint).

Blu Ray
If you preorder the Sword Art Online Extra Edition Blu Ray, then you get some special goodies. It comes with a deluxe booklet and an exclusive poster! On top of that, on the Blu Ray disc, some bonus features include a subtitled version of Sword Art Offline (an Aincrad news show with Asuna as the anchor and Kirito as a commentator) and a trailer for Sword Art Online II.
Based on the website, it sounds like the English cast did not dub Sword Art Offline.
The retail price for the Blu Ray version is $49.98.
DVD
The DVD version of Sword Art Online Extra Edition appears to come with less features. The only special feature currently listed is a trailer for Sword Art Online II.
The retail price for the DVD version is $29.98.
Other Information
The DVD/Blu Ray comes in dual audio (option for Japanese or English), has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, offers English and Spanish subtitles, is approximately 100 minutes in length, and is rated PG 13.
The bonus features are subject to change according to the website. It’s also a bit pricey, which isn’t a surprise since Aniplex is behind this. As a super fan, I am definitely going to preorder this and watch it over and over.
