It was just announced today on Aniplex’s live stream that the Sword Art Online Movie “Ordinal Scale” will be premiering in North America on March 1, 2017 at Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

Tickets will be going on sale this Tuesday on November 15th, 2016. They will be available for purchase on the Official SAO Movie Website.

This film will be in Japanese with English Subtitles (no announcement of an English Dub yet BUT given its popularity, I am sure that we can expect some information on it in the next year or so!)
Timeline
SAO Ordinal Scale takes place after the Mother’s Rosario Arc (The final Arc of SAO II). The story of Ordinal Scale is written by the Light Novel original author Reki Kawahara. It takes place before the Alicization/Underworld Arc.
What About the Rest of the World?
Now I don’t know about you, but I am EXTREMELY excited! Thankfully, I live in Southern California, so you can expect to find me at the premiere!
As for the rest of the world, do not worry! This is a WORLD WIDE premiere. I only received information on the North American location, but you can expect to find SAO Ordinal Scale at a theater (hopefully) near you.
